Yamaha RX-A840 (Aventage): restore Internet Radio
The Yamaha RX-A840 (Aventage) (7.2-channel Aventage AV receiver, 2014) shows “Please wait…”, an empty NET RADIO list, or a prompt for a vTuner access code because the vTuner directory it used became unavailable. Change one DNS setting and the station list returns.
The list didn’t break — its directory did
The RX-A840 used vTuner for NET RADIO. Yamaha later offered an airable.radio firmware update for this generation — if your unit took that update, NET RADIO may still work. If it instead shows “Please wait”, an empty list or a vTuner access-code prompt, Retune·FM restores it. The receiver, your network and its streaming are all fine; only the browsable station directory went away when vTuner became unavailable. Retune·FM answers in its place.

About two minutes. You change one value — the DNS server — and nothing else on your network changes.

Confirm stations are back
Power the RX-A840 (Aventage) off and on (or reconnect it to the network), then open Internet Radio / NET RADIO. The list should come alive. Still empty? Re-check the DNS value and that the receiver gets its address settings from your router. To undo everything, set the IP setting back to Automatic.

What if my RX-A840 already got the airable update?
