If your Pioneer shows a server error, or Internet Radio stations can’t be selected, the directory it relied on (vTuner) became unavailable on many older receivers. Retune·FM gives Internet Radio a working address again.

Pioneer’s Internet Radio directory went dark for legacy models
Pioneer network receivers and players used vTuner for Internet Radio. When vTuner dropped support for these legacy devices, the station list stopped loading and the menu began returning a server error. Retune·FM answers where vTuner used to, and the directory works again.
This applies only to network-capable Pioneer models that had an Internet Radio menu — VSX receivers with Ethernet/Wi-Fi, the SC-LX series and the N-series network players. Entry-level receivers with no network connection have no Internet Radio to restore. Newer models on a different streaming platform don’t need it either.
One DNS setting, about two minutes
You change a single value on the Pioneer — its DNS server. Nothing else on your network changes.

Check that stations are back
Power the Pioneer off and on (or reconnect it to the network), then open Internet Radio / NET RADIO. The list should come alive. If it’s still empty, re-check the DNS value and that the receiver gets its settings from your router.

The vTuner-based network receivers and players — many VSX and SC-LX receivers plus N-series network players (N-30, N-50). If Internet Radio worked before and now shows a server error, this method applies.
Stations “can’t be selected” — is that the same issue?
Yes. When the directory behind the menu is gone, the receiver can list nothing to select, or errors out when you try. Pointing it at Retune·FM restores the list.
Is it legal? Do I need an app?
Yes, and no app. Retune·FM only links to publicly available radio streams and is not affiliated with Pioneer or vTuner. You change one DNS value on the receiver — no app, no account.
How do I undo it?
Set the Pioneer’s DNS back to automatic (or your router’s address). Everything returns to how it was.
