Your Marantz still plays everything else — only Internet Radio went quiet. The catalogue it queried (vTuner) became unavailable or unreliable on many older receivers. Retune·FM puts a working directory back behind that menu item.

Three checks that point at vTuner, not your Marantz
Before you blame the amplifier or your router, run these three quick checks:
- Open Media Server — if your NAS or PC library plays, the network side of the Marantz is fine.
- Try a station you saved as a favourite. If a saved one plays while the browse list is empty, only the catalogue is missing.
- Open radiomarantz.com in a browser. If the site loads on your laptop but the amplifier still reports an error, the fault is not your connection.
Marantz didn’t remove the feature — the catalogue behind it stopped working on many models.
Internet Radio on these models was never Marantz’s own service: the station list came from vTuner. Around 2020 it became a paid subscription, sold through radiomarantz.com, and from around January 2025 many receivers stopped getting a response.
HEOS-era Marantz models were migrated to another provider. The SR, NR, AV, NA and M-CR generations listed here were not — so their menu simply returns nothing. Retune·FM answers in vTuner’s place and the list comes back.
Change one address, keep everything else
There is nothing to install and nothing to buy. You point the Marantz at a directory that is still alive by changing its DNS entry.

What you should see afterwards
Standby the Marantz and switch it back on so it re-reads the network settings. Open Internet Radio: instead of an error you should get the browse menu — genres, countries, popular stations. If it is still empty, re-enter the address and confirm the amplifier is not overriding DNS via DHCP.

Which Marantz models does this work with?
The pre-HEOS generations: SR5006–SR7010, SR5011/SR6011, the NR1504–NR1607 slim line, AV7005–AV8802 processors, NA network players and the M-CR series.
My Marantz runs HEOS (SR5012 and later). Can I use it?
No. HEOS models were moved to a different streaming provider and never depended on vTuner, so this method does not apply to them.
The display mentioned marantz.vtuner.com. What was that?
It was Marantz’s entry point into the vTuner catalogue. When vTuner became unavailable, that address stopped answering — which is exactly what the message on your screen reports.
I paid vTuner a subscription. Can I get it back?
No. Retune·FM is a separate, independent directory, so there’s no vTuner account or fee to use it. Availability of the original vTuner service varies by model, firmware and region.
Will this change anything else on my amplifier?
No. Only the DNS field changes. Inputs, HDMI, room correction and every other setting stay exactly as they were, and you can revert at any time.
