Naim Internet Radio Not Working — Restore vTuner

“Unable to connect to Internet Radio station”

An empty radio list or “No stations” — or saved presets flagged with a warning to “re-save”

If your Naim streamer cannot connect to Internet Radio, shows an empty list, or marks your presets with a warning to re-save, the directory it relied on (vTuner) changed on these first-generation streamers. Retune·FM gives Internet Radio a working address again — your saved presets and station search come back.

Qué ha pasado

Naim’s Internet Radio ran on vTuner

Internet Radio on Naim’s first-generation streamers (NDX, ND5 XS, NDS and the Uniti family) was powered by the third-party vTuner directory. After an early-2025 change to that legacy radio server, many owners saw stations stop — an “Unable to connect” message, an empty list, or presets flagged to be re-saved. Naim has since moved to its own in-house Internet Radio service, but the oldest units cannot always receive that update — Retune·FM answers where vTuner used to, so Internet Radio works again.

Naim replaced vTuner with its own in-house Internet Radio service. If your streamer can take the firmware/app update that adds it (check the Naim app), that is the official fix and you do not need Retune·FM. This page is for the early first-generation units that cannot get that update and still rely on vTuner.

62.132.3.28
NaimOn the streamer or in the Naim app: Settings → Network → set the connection to Static / Manual IP → note and re-enter the IP address, subnet mask and gateway → set the DNS to 62.132.3.28 → save, then open Internet Radio.

¿No estás seguro?

Preguntas frecuentes

Los propietarios de Naim preguntan

Which Naim models does this help?

The first-generation streamers that used the vTuner Internet Radio menu — NDX, ND5 XS and NDS players, the Uniti, Uniti 2, UnitiQute, UnitiQute 2, UnitiLite and SuperUniti all-in-ones, and the NAC-N 172 XS / NAC-N 272 preamp-streamers. If Internet Radio used to work and now shows an error or an empty list, this method applies.

My presets show a warning / “re-save”. What happened?

That appears when the old vTuner directory behind your presets stopped responding. With Retune·FM the directory answers again — browse or search, play the station, then re-save the preset.

Should I use Naim’s own Internet Radio instead?

If your model received Naim’s in-house iRadio update (via the latest Naim app and firmware), use that — it is the official replacement. Retune·FM is for the earlier first-generation streamers that cannot get that update.

¿Es legal? ¿Necesito una aplicación?

Yes, and no extra app. Retune·FM only links to publicly available radio streams and is not affiliated with Naim or vTuner. You change one DNS value on the streamer — no account.

¿Cómo lo deshago?

Set the streamer’s DNS back to automatic (or your router’s address). Everything returns to how it was.
