Denon RCD-N9 (CEOL N9): restore Internet Radio

The Denon RCD-N9 (CEOL N9) (network CD receiver, 2015) shows an empty Internet Radio list or a server error where stations used to be because the vTuner directory it used became unavailable. Change one DNS setting and the station list returns.

Why it stopped

The list didn’t break — its directory did

The RCD-N9 (CEOL N9) network CD receiver used vTuner for Internet Radio. It is fully supported; your CD, DLNA and Bluetooth playback are unaffected. The receiver, your network and its streaming are all fine; only the browsable station directory went away when vTuner became unavailable. Retune·FM answers in its place.

The fix

Step by step on the RCD-N9 (CEOL N9)

About two minutes. You change one value — the DNS server — and nothing else on your network changes.

Primary DNS address
62.132.3.28
RCD-N9 (CEOL N9)On the CEOL / Denon remote open SETUP → Network → Network Connection → set “IP Address = Manual” → leave IP / mask / gateway → set the DNS to 62.132.3.28Save → open Internet Radio. You can also do this from the Denon app.
💡 Do not change the IP address, subnet mask or gateway — only the DNS field. Enter it on the receiver itself so the rest of your network is untouched.
Check it worked

Confirm stations are back

Power the RCD-N9 (CEOL N9) off and on (or reconnect it to the network), then open Internet Radio / NET RADIO. The list should come alive. Still empty? Re-check the DNS value and that the receiver gets its address settings from your router. To undo everything, set the IP setting back to Automatic.

FAQ
