If your Denon shows an empty station list or an error where Internet Radio used to be, the directory it relied on (vTuner) was discontinued. Retune·FM gives it a working address again.
Three signs it’s vTuner, not your Denon
People rule out their own gear for hours. These tell-tale signs point straight at the shut-down directory:
- Your music / media server (DLNA) still plays fine — so the network and the receiver are healthy.
- A few favourite or recently-played stations still work, but the full list is empty.
- A factory reset changes nothing, and logging in on radiodenon.com from a laptop works while the device still can’t connect.
The station list didn’t break. Its address disappeared.
Your Denon asked a company’s server (vTuner) for the station directory. Around 2020 that catalogue was put behind a paywall — registration ran through radiodenon.com for a few dollars a year. In January 2025 the service stopped answering entirely.
Denon moved newer models to a different provider, but legacy receivers will get no such update — so their Internet Radio simply went silent. Retune·FM answers where vTuner used to, and the menu fills up again.
One DNS setting, about two minutes
You change a single value on the Denon — its DNS server. Nothing else on your network changes.

Check that stations are back
Power the Denon off and on (or reconnect it to the network), then open Online Music → Internet Radio. The list should come alive. If it’s still empty, re-check the address and that the receiver gets its settings from your router.

Is my Denon too old to fix?
No. If it used the old vTuner Internet Radio menu, Retune·FM speaks its language — age is not the issue.
My Denon has an “H” in the name (X1400H and newer). Does it work?
Those HEOS models moved to a different service and are not supported this way. This method is for pre-HEOS Denon receivers.
Do I need to install an app or open an account?
No. You change one network setting on the receiver itself. No app, no account, no computer.
Is this legal?
Yes. Retune·FM only links to publicly available radio streams — no audio is copied or re-hosted. It is independent and not affiliated with Denon or vTuner.
How do I undo it?
Set the Denon’s DNS back to automatic (or your router’s address). Everything returns to how it was.
